What is the treatment option?

The first treatment the patient gets for symptomatic gallstone is cholecystectomy. If the patient’s condition is severe then it is important to consult the surgeon in a few weeks and an electric cholecystectomy will be done. 
If the tenderness is in the right upper quadrant for a long time and the patient has a fever or while blood cell count is increased then medical care is required on time. 
Around 10% of cases have bile duct stones with acute cholecystitis. With the help of endoscopic, the stones will be removed or the option of surgery is suggested and sometimes open cholecystectomy is given. If open cholecystectomy is given then the patient is allowed to go home within one day. Undergoing treatment helps around 95% of the patient to live a better life. 

Gallbladder Tumors

Patients with small gallbladder tumors have symptoms like abdominal pain, fever, and larger tumors will have symptoms like jaundice and an abdominal mass. Computed tomography (CT) or ultrasound scans will reveal a gallbladder mass and if there are larger tumors then there are increased chances of biliary obstruction.

Treatment for Biliary disease

One of the other options is percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTHC) which allows in emergency drainage of the biliary tree.
